Elevate Marketing Advisors announces that founding member, Doug Parker, FSMPS, CPSM, has been elected president of the board of directors for the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) for the 2020-2021 term. Parker has been active in SMPS since 1997 at the local, regional, and national levels including Society board service as secretary/treasurer in 2013/14. “SMPS has been pivotal in shaping my career in the A/E/C industry and I owe much of my success to the education I’ve received and network I’ve built through the organization,” Parker said. “Serving the society at the highest level is a highlight of my career and personally rewarding on so many levels. This organization has been a constant in my life for more than 20 years and I’m honored to be in the role of president.”
Having assumed his leadership role amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Parker is intent on guiding the organization through the unique challenges and opportunities facing the A/E/C industry. During this first term, SMPS held its first virtual conference in October 2020.
